I live in Elliot Springs just south of Townsville but work in an office in North Ward, I just have to say that although I don't live here, I could imagine myself doing so, its refreshing to have lunch overlooking Magnetic Island as the Seabreeze rolls in, the calming waters and relaxed atmosphere of North Ward make it very popular and its not hard to see why its average price is in the $700,000 range. You really do get what you pay for.

I don't personally live in North Ward but I have made new friends that do and it is very relaxed with an eclectic style of housing by the water, the elevated parts of the suburb have superb views to Magnetic Island and the coral sea. It is shimmering on a bright sunny day (no shortage of that here) and people take a real pride in their properties and and ever so keen to help if you require it, just ask!

I have never been happier then I have in North Ward, the suburb has a calming energy, it has such friendly people, great scenery and some new apartments are going up that are very nice and have great views of Magnetic Island and the sunrise. There is excellent schools nearby and plenty of restaraunts and bars 🍸 its a short walk to the Ferry Terminal and into the CBD and has kid friendly activities like the waterpark, rockpool, tobruk pool. You won't regret living in North Ward but you will regret not doing it sooner!

North Ward is very popular and it is not hard to see why, the Strand, the beaches, the Rockpool, the Waterpark, the eateries, the people. Just divine.

North Ward is one of the hottest Townsville suburbs with many developments planned and an enviable beach lifestyle with prime attractions like The Strand and Waterpark right on your front doorstep! The Casino is not too far away and neither is great shopping. I recommend North Ward to everyone.

I love North Ward, the home of the city's prime tourist attraction.. the strand! plus the waterpark, rockpool and the beautiful trendy cafe's and restaurants. You will feel at home in this growing suburb from day one. It will also be in easy walking/commute distance to the new stadium under construction in the CBD.

Being the First Friday of the Month last night the Strand Markets were on again at Strand Park. Free entertainment, local crafts, wide range of food stalls and rides for the kids. This is just on the reasons tourists and locals alike love The Strand and North Ward.

Amazing... as people of Townsville say...the problem with living in North Ward is that you don't want leave it. It is relaxing enough to feel peace but there is always activity so you always have things to do. Nice restaurants, cafes... the beach! The few boutiques in Gregory Street have more to offer than the shopping center because their exclusivity. if you can afford living there then do it. I love livingin North Ward.

This is a really nice area that is central to everything Townsville has to offer. I stayed here with a friend during a holiday, and got to meet some the locals. They are very friendly. I would recommend this suburb to anyone looking to head north.

Wake up every morning walk to the beach for a swin or run along the strand, close to shops no loud noise from traffic, in the evening u can walk around at the beach its still warm and the water warmer the perfect place to live.

Hey there! Just moved into my North ward unit and I love it. I'm a street back from the Strand, I swim everyday after work and get fish a chips on the way back from the beach. The only downside is it gets a bit busy on the weekend. But for what I paid to be so close to the beach, I can deal with it :)

North Ward is sooo nice. Close to the beach, close to pubs but not as noisy as flinders street. Plenty of restraunts and parks to relax in. Also a short walk to the city and there is a Bi-lo in the heart too. I never used my car!
