"A Suburb of Contrasts - Be Careful to Pick the Right Spot"
O'Connor is located around 4 kms north west of Canberra. It has heritage listed properties and the problems of public housing. It has an abundance of green areas where the sports of rugby, cricket and soccer are played regularly. It has a small shopping centre with an independent supermarket, chemist, pub and a few other shops and restaurants, which are totally adequate to meet the day to day needs of the community. Tocumwal Houses are now heritage listed properties which are located in quiet streets around parkland in the centre of O'Connor. There are both local kindergartens and primary schools. You need to research the area carefully to ensure you pick the right spot.
