Reviews of Parkwood, WA
"Quiet, Relaxed, Nice Neighbours"
Moved here 2 years ago, found it to be a nice, quite area with lots of families moving in, near to Canning River foreshore which is lovely for walks or coffee at nearby cafes and deli. Shelley and Canning park runs nearby and Riverton Leisure Centre

"Best of the Southern Suburbs"
I moved to Parkwood after living in some of the more leafy along the river suburbs and not really knowing much about Parkwood. I absolutely love living here. The people are all friendly there are options for local shops to choose from and there are many cycle walk pathways we take advantage of. There are also several parks and overall the suburb is quiet. Love Parkwood

"The quiet achiever"
Just on the border of Willetton and Riverton, this little known suburb is well serviced by schools, shops, transport and parks. Lots of families call it home as well as retirees who like a hit at the Whaleback Golf Course

"Perth’s most underrated suburb!"
We are going on our 4th year living in Parkwood and it has been absolutely wonderful. We have two young daughter who attend the local primary school which is lovely. Neighbours are friendly and it’s quiet and safe. Wouldn’t choose anywhere else!

"Proud to be resident in Parkwood"
We moved to parkwood before 2 years and we are proud that we made no mistake by choosing parkwwod. It's such a nice palce to live everything is very very near. Riverton Stckland shopping centre, Riverton Library, swimming, leisuareplex, childcare, Highroad full of many many shops, one side Roe highway is near, leach highway is near. I think it's a real hub. Very pleasant area to live in.

"A safe place to stay with peace of mind."
I have stay in Abercairn Way Parkwood for more than 5 years and i havent encountered any criminal incident. I always park my new car outside my home (lazy to park in the garage ) and always keep the window open ( opt for fresh air ).
If you dont believe what i say m you could check from the criminal records from the police station or read the local community paper about crime , burglar . You hardly seen any Parkwood on the list .

"Under rated Suburb"
Parkwood is a good suburb, well priced and safe based on the 4 years we lived there. Relatively quiet and not much thoroughfare (other than Willeri and High Rd). Families seem to make up a large majority of the houses. Only downfall is Public Transport as it does take a while to get to the Freeway on the bus if you work in town - but nothing reading a book doesn't solve. There was not any state housing in our street nor did I notice the usual "trouble" that comes with Homeswest when walking the dog or going for jogs so a non issue. All in all affordable living - I have moved elswhere (at a huge premium) and sometimes wonder if the big mortgage is worth it as we were certainly happy campers in Parkwood...........

""Safe, green and plenty of parks""
Moved there in 2006, very quiet and as it's not a thoroughfare it is a safe and comfortable place to live.
I moved from an affluent area to Parkwood and I wouldn't live anywhere else in Perth. 20 mins to city even in peak hour, 25 to Freo and the Roe Hwy gives excellent access to amenities.
Plenty of families and houses with dogs, but barking is minimal as most residents are out walking their pets regularly. When you walk around day or night, it is safe and people are pleasant.
I have lived in Willetton and Parkwood is a better suburb in terms of population age, graffiti, noise etc. Cannot get ADSL2 internet, but it's not a huge issue, but overall I believe it is one of the hidden gems in terms of lifestyle in Perth, an incredibly underated suburb!

Hi Lawrie
I totally agree with you . I move from Willetton to Parkwood last year and bought another home in Castle Glen Thornlie. I didnt realise Parkwood is so safe and beautiful. not much house with rental property which looks dirty and untidy. I stay around Abercairn way and i never locked my car when i park outside. it is so quiet and safe.
you are right. peaceful and no noise and and disturbances
