Reviews of Point Clare, NSW
"Great Suburb for Young Couple/Family"
We’ve been living in Point Clare for three months now, and it’s honestly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. The scenery is beautiful, and the local amenities are super convenient. We love the spacious Aldi and West Gosford Shopping Village, and Farehaven Café is a gem—plus it has an Op Shop attached!
As a young couple (or small family), moving here felt like the perfect choice. The suburb is peaceful, family-friendly, we feel safer, and has schools nearby. It’s also really well connected—close to the freeway for easy trips to the city, and just 10–15 minutes from Erina Fair, one of the largest shopping centres in NSW.
We couldn’t be happier with our move!

"best suburb to live in Point Clare"
friendly neighbours, community feeling, safe environment, Wendy Drive houses back onto Brisbane Water National Park. You open your back gate and you are in the National Park. On my deck listening to the different birds from the forest and enjoying the view, i am in my own little paradise

"The ultimate bayside suburb"
Close to Gosford and Erina, and under 10 mins to the freeway, has a train station and bus connections, yet has that waterfront suburban feel that makes you feel like you're on holiday. Definitely one of the coast's best kept secrets, and a suburb that's better placed than most of the other bayside locations. Prices are starting to reflect this reality. Looking forward to house sitting there again in future!

"Such a lovely place to escape"
I recently had the privilege of escaping the rat race over the Easter weekend in the quiet bay lined suburb of Point Clare, during my time spent walking the bike path along the water I was met with smiles and hellos from all of the other people out for a walk. Point Clare offers numerous parks for the kids to stop and play and a big open park called Fagan park where all the locals would meet and let their dogs burn off some steam.
This area is only 7 minutes off the freeway which is most likely why this is the new hot spot of the coast, mixing a perfect balance of lifestyle and chill out within reach of commuting to sydney.

"Beautiful Suburb"
Point Clare is quickly becoming the place to be with house prices reflecting the lust for the area. I have lived here for the past few years and have seen an explosion of growth throughout the area, especially is the Gosford area which is only a short walk away. PC offers an Aldi and a train station that is one of the only stops for the late night Friday train back from Sydney.

"Quiet and Neighbourly"
Nice quiet suburb nestled along the banks on Brisbane water, less than 10 minute drive from the freeway and in between Gosford and Woy Woy. There is a walking/bike track that runs alongside the water all the way through Point Clare down into Tascott. There is an entry into the Brisbane Water National Park at the end of Penang St leading to several peaceful walks and outstanding water views. There is also a train station, Aldi and several take away food restaurants.

"Coastal Treasure"
Originally from Umina, twenty minutes away, moving to Point Clare has been a dream. We are enjoying the peace and quiet, which has been long lost in the Umina Beach area unfortunately. Waking up every morning to the sound of bellbirds instead of cars screeching around is fantastic. We ride our bikes along the Point Clare cycle way , which is gorgeous. Our neighbours are lovely. We had problems with rowdy teenagers vandalising property and fighting in Umina area, but one thing we noticed when we moved to Point Clare is that the residents are either families or older couples, which makes it a very safe, quiet, drama free place to live. There's a local oval, two parks, a familyfriendly and dog friendly walkway/cycle way along the waterfront that stretches from the main shopping complex and children's park with the bridge and duck pond, right up to the hidden picnic and bbq areas along the waterfront and the Aldi supermarket, deli and cafe. Heading in the other direction it takes you all the way to the Gosford waterfront and shops. In between, Spotlight, camping and outdoor recreations stores, homewares/Bunnings etc. Central Coast Leagues Club just a five minute drive down the road, and Erina Fair a fifteen minute drive away. Point Clare is a Coastal treasure, and has a lovely little boutique feel to it. One of those rare suburbs nowadays where you will still find kids playing cricket in the street of a late afternoon. With our first baby due in June, we do not regret buying here.

"Family Friendly"
We moved here ten months ago from Sydney and we are in HEAVEN.
Such a peaceful little community.
Our kids are loving the little playground next to the duck pond, and the walk and cycleway tucked behind the waterfront, and all the private picnic and fishing spots.
The perfect place to raise a family. No crime. No graffiti. No hoons. Very safe neighbourhood for the kids to play.
Popular shopping, beaches and restaurants within a fifteen minute drive.
A preschool surrounded by bush and bellbirds next to the cemetery, a little public school, and private schooling options nearby.
Easy drive to Sydney (only 45 mins).
Love the little Op shop and cafe run by the beautiful Down Syndrome and disabled community, Fairhaven.
The heart of Point Clare.
