"Good pockets, bad pockets"
I somewhat liked my time in RS but there are some sketchy areas. There is some spillover of demographics from neighbouring Woodridge. Also the M1 for commuters is more of a parking lot during peak hours and there aren’t many alternative roads.
"High and dry in nature"
Rochedale South is a hidden
gem, so close to hectares of bushwalking and mountain bike tracks. Also high and dry away from the Brisbane River. With the new busway and park n ride being built, it will be an even quicker commute to the city. The neighbourhood is lovely, with most of my neighbours having lived here for 30+ years. As well as gorgeous view of the scenic rim, that you pay squillions for in nearby areas. With some of the best schools in the state in the suburb.

"Logan Citys best kept secret"
This is an amazing community, nestled in amongst plenty of farmland, backing on to koala reserves, with some of the best schools in Brisbane within easy reach, and less than 20 kms to the city! If you like shopping, Garden City, Loganholme, Sunnybank and Carindale are all just up the road.

"Top Spot"
I have lived in and around Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and nothing compares to the nice appeal of Rochedale South. It was a hidden secret until I found out about it from a freind who moved in to the area. I am happy to be in Rochedale South myself now, and have no immediate plans to move.

"Friendly community, close to everything and huge potential."
Rochedale South has a friendly community spirit where neighbours catch up at the letterbox or for street barbeques. Everyone is willing to lend a hand if one is needed and strangers will greet you while a smile and a "G'day". There are plenty of parks to walk the dog or take the kids to play with purpose built bike tracks and picturesque pathways through bushland and parks.
Rochedale South is perfectly located with easy access to everywhere in South East QLD with all major motorways converging nearby. The South Easy Freeway provides a quick 15 minute trip to Brisbane CBD (30 minutes in peak hour) and only 45 minutes to the beaches of the Gold Coast. The Gateway Motorway makes a trip to the airport only 20 minutes and a drive to the Sunshine Coast is 1hr and 20 minutes. The Logan Motorway makes a trip to Ipswich only 20 minutes. The South East Busway Station is a 5 minute drive where there is ample parking and buses to Brisbane CBD that can be a 20 minute trip in peak hour (express bus). A busway station is due to commence being built soon in Rochedale South on Underwood Rd which will make public transport even better. Rochedale South is also just over the hill from Springwood, the "CBD" of Logan City, which is a thriving business centre that is ever expanding.
Rochedale South is very popular with first home buyers due to its close proximity to everything and affordability. There is a huge amount of renovation going on in the area as the houses are updated, which is easier to do with brick and tile properties rather than post-war or fibro houses that are slightly closer in to the city. The houses in Rochedale South also tend to be larger than the older style houses nearer the city.
Just up the road in Rochedale, the asking price of an average block of land alone is more than the price of a house and land only 2 minutes away in Rochedale South.
