Stieglitz, TAS 7216

Stieglitz always makes me feel like on holidays! The vibe is relaxed, there are plenty of boats, caravans and cray pots around the place to make you realise that living in Stieglitz is all about making the most of life by the water.
The area is probably a 50/50 mix of 'shackies' and permanent residents. There's no curb and guttering which makes it feel like the original holiday town that it is - it's relaxed, it's easy and the people are friendly.
In the area there is a take away shop and mini mart that also supply fuel. Parkside Bar & Kitchen is also in Stieglitz which is a great place for a meal 7 days a week.
Homes on the northern side of St Helens Point Road mostly enjoy water views. Parnella Drive is one street back from the main road going through Stieglitz and is where more of the permanent residents live.
There isn't a bus service that goes into St Helens from here (other than the school bus).
It's only a 5 minute drive into St Helens - or you could walk if you're up for it - and St Helens has all the services you'd expect of the largest regional town on Tasmania's east coast: district hospital, school, chemist, vet, newsagency, hotels, restaurants, retail shopping, IGA supermarkets and several sporting groups.
A great place to live or holiday that is close to everything.
