"UNDISCOVERED."
Swansea is the gateway to Lake Macquarie, which is the largest coastal saltwater lake in the Southern Hemisphere, some four and a half times larger than Sydney harbour. Swansea has a year round holiday atmosphere, it's peaceful but there is so much to do. Enjoy fishing, boating or perhaps scuba diving in the Aqua waters of the wide channel that leads from the ocean to the lake. Swansea also has an amazing opening bridge to allow vessels from around the world, to pass through into the lake. There is a public swimming pool, sports fields, schools, child care, doctors and a small shopping centre with both Woolworths and Coles. Belmont Hospital is just seven kilometres away, the huge John Hunter Hospital is approx twenty five kilometres and there are numerous private hospitals close by also. The well known surfing beaches of Caves Beach and Blacksmiths Beach are less than five minutes away. Swansea is so conveniently situated, just an hour and a half from Sydney to the south, forty minutes to Newcastle to the north or one hour to the Hunter Valley wineries to the west. Home prices here are still extremely affordable and whether you are a young family or a retiree, everything is here.

Hi there, we are a young family looking to move from Sydney. Do you know what the schools and kindergartens are like and if there is much work in the Lake Macquarie area? Thanks
