Reviews of The Rocks, NSW
"A top location with a price-tag to match"
The Rocks is an inner-city suburb of Sydney, nestled to one side of the Harbour Bridge. It is a popular tourist area, due to its history, and has a number of pubs and restaurants aimed at maximising the tourist dollar.
That being said, it is a great location to live. It is very close to the water and very close to the CBD - easy walking distance. There are some stunning apartments, older terraced homes and some incredible executive residences worth millions.
Parking of course can be a nightmare, but you are so close to everything you need that you might not even need a car (lots of Sydney-siders tend to go without).

"The Rocks- Explore ouor convist past and rub shoulders with the ghosts."
The Rocks in central Sydney and only a few minutes from Circular Quay. The Rocks is the oldest are of the city and is home is an amazing array of old buildings some dating back to convict days. Today they are shops, cafes, warehouse and the old terraces are often used as offices. Walking around the Rocks there are numerous small lanes, and courtyards which serve as a reminder of how Sydney grew from an unplanned convict town. There is a lot to do with live music in bars, shops and galleries to explore and you can even take a guided Ghost tour and see if you can feel the presence of the spirits of the convicts from this area. Plenty of accommodation and places to eat make this a great place to visit.
