Reviews of Trangie, NSW
"Believed to be too far away from civilization"
If your a single lady planning on moving to Trangie and you have no male friends or family close by, then rethink your plans. I have bought a house here and it needs some work from Tradies like electrcians, plumbers, air con servicing and fencing etc, No one will come out to even quote the jobs unless I pay $280 just for a call out fee with no work being done, they charge $1.70 per km for fuel plus on top of that the call out fee, so 70 Km's to get to me at $1.70 per km then they hit you up for call out fee as well, and each business can charge a different amount for fuel per km and their call out fee, it just depends how much that particular business wants to rip you off, I am starting to hate this place, but it's good if your driving through and need to stop for something to eat all the cafes are good.
"lovely town"
As a passer by I was astounded by the welcoming community spirit of Trangie. Such a clean and tidy town with friendly locals and plenty of opoportunities for a quick and tasty bite to eat and a quick gift shop or two for myself! The park by the Goan Waterhole was peaceful and calming to have a break in will definately be returning in the future!
"Friendly Country Town"
Trangie is a delightful little town an hour west of regional metropolis Dubbo. With a population of just over a thousand the township is very friendly and family orientated with plenty of parks for kids to play and cute little coffee shops for adults to relax. Come and relax with a cold beer at one of the three historic pubs, have a hit of golf at the Trangie Golf club or a round of bowls at the Trangie Bowing club. The main street and CBD of the township is brimming with potential already in place are a butcher, baker, pharmacy, coffee shop, supermarket, beautician, hairdresser and many agribusinesses. Drop in to the gift shop and browse the wonderful collection of jewellry, clothing and gift items.
There is a swimming pool, tennis courts, state of the art skate park and sporting fields. Only 15 mins from the majestic Macquarie river there are plenty of opportunities for fishing, camping and canoeing. There are plenty of sporting clubs for both children and adults with dancing, tennis, soccer, cricket, rugby league, rugby union, swimming, golf and bowls.
Trangie boasts both a Central school catering for kindergarten to year 12 and a catholic primary school as well as a preschool/daycare centre. The multipurpose health centre is a fully functioning hospital and aged care centre.
The towns atmosphere is happy, friendly and safe resulting in a tight knit community that is welcoming to newcommers.
