Reviews of Wooli, NSW
"very pretty but not pet friendly"
a gorgeous little seaside town with a small population and deserted beaches , when we were there , a couple of people on beaches , maybe 2 and 4 wheel drives which are allowed on the beaches however dogs are not allowed to run free in any section , in this regard it is an unfriendly place if you have dogs and want to use the beach as at no time , even miserable winter months are you not allowed to , so us personally we won’t be back .

"perfect for a beachside holiday - just the way they used to be"
Like stepping back in time, summers spent with sand between your toes - days spent in the surf, swimming in the river, walking on empty beaches, or just lazing in the hammock, falling asleep to the sound of the sea.
Tucked between the river and the sea on a quiet, pristine corner of the Northern NSW coast, surrounded by Yuraygir National Park, Wooli has the laid back feel of a quiet seaside village long lost to development elsewhere - 4 hours from Brisbane and 40 years back in time.
To get you out on the water, there is the Wooli river boat hire, Charon fishing charters, Wooli dive centre and deep sea tours, or for more laid back landlubbers, there is the the Wooli bowls club and tennis courts.
For meals, there is the renowned Wooli Oyster supply, Waves restaurant and takeaway, the Wooli hotel, and Harry's Chinese restaurant at the bowls club.
