Very happy to call Mount Pleasant my home. It's a secluded gem close to the beach. Great neighborhood.

A really good area for young families. Lots of scenic outdoor activities to do, sports and markets. Generally safe area. Good eating out options. It's also perfect for a short holiday by the beach.

It can be a rough neighborhood with crime and graffiti being the key issues. Surrounded by ugly house estates and housing commission (from Albion Park). No opportunities for children. Better for a day visit than to live or invest in!
The better options in Illawara would be: Kiama, Cordeaux Heights, Mount Pleasant, Stanwell Park.
