Elevated and quiet street in the Stage 1 area of Casuarina, meaning leafy streets and big blocks. Most neighbours know each other and interact regularly. Kids play together in the street without worry. 150m/2min walk to the pristine beach. Walking distance to restaurants/cafes/shopping centre/gym/pool/rugby field/etc. Local traffic only. Gets the n/e seabreeze regularly on warm days. Fall asleep listening to the waves crashing :)

A wonderful, relaxed, upmarket place to live. Have rented here for 5 years and just recently bought a house. Demographic is mostly young families, professionals and retirees. Recently we have a new shopping centre with most shops you would need (medical centre, chemist, Coles, hairdresser, vet, bottle-shop, barber, real-estate, pizza, japanese, bakery, surf shop, travel agent, butcher). Across the road 'The Commons' has just completed with a cafes, smoke-house licensed restaurant, gym, chiropractor, clothing store, etc). These now compliment the original (fantastic) cafe/restaurants that were already here. The beach is amazing and always within walking distance. Parks are always close. The place is clean and new and has an up-market vibe. Bicycle path north to Kingscliff or south to Cabarita is an easy ride. The area is perfectly situated 30mins north of Byron Bay, 15mins south of the Gold Coast - Coolangatta (international airport) and only an hour from Brisbane. Public transport (buses) run regularly to Tweed Heads then on to the Gold Coast. A $534 million brand-new hospital has just been approved for Kingscliff (5 minutes north) and is in the early stages of construction. It's an idyllic lifestyle in paradise. We won't be leaving any time soon...
