I don't believe Queenslanders realised how wonderful a suburb like Wynnum is. It is the nearest bayside suburb to the CBD, 13 or so Km direct line and approx 18km actual distance. It also has a great train line. now that Peter Cummins (Wynnum's councillor) has provided many new family orientated parks, bikepaths and play grounds, I also believed Wynnum is no longer just for retirees. I have particulary chosen Wynnum as an area to raise my family because of the following:
*close enough but not far enough to drive or train to the CBD for work
*plenty of space and very safe for the kids and dogs
*plenty of restaurants located around Wynnum & Manly
*walks along the esplanade in the early mornings
*manly farmers market
*fishing on the pier and along the bay
*watching all the yatchs sail in and out every weekends, sometimes you get a glimpse of the dolphins swimming alongside the boats.

I am from Victoria, and suburbs this close to the CBD without actually being in the CBD is worth Millions. Quick, get in before it becomes million $ properties where only the rich can enjoy.
