"Easy, convenient, close to nature...Loving it!"
We moved from the Inner West to Sutherland 2 years ago in 2021 as we wanted more space and more peace.
We live in a beautiful pocket closer to the Woronora side; it's close to parks, ovals, tennis courts and we have fantastic bushwalks right at our doorstep. It's clean, well maintained and safe. We are surrounded by trees and wildlife, but we are still close to all amenities - walking distance to the train (10 mins) and town centre. Train is 30 mins to CBD and very frequent, with 2 carparks - free for train commuters.
There is a great buzz with the Saturday markets and the proximity to neighbouring suburbs is a huge plus, with a selection of cafes, shops, walks, parks and events; Westfield, Bourke Street bakery and a number of breweries next door at Kirrawee! Woronora river and BBQ area is close-by and Cronulla beach 15 min drive.
Neighbourhood is starting to see more younger families, couples and professionals move in. Even in the couple of years we have been here, we've seen the suburb evolving with some cool new eateries and the completion of the Arts theatre in the town. Property is still good value but has been increasing. We've made a number of new friends here and its really proven to be a hidden gem for us!
