Hello, my name is Hinchinbrook Joe.

I live on Lord Howe Drive. Whenever I have visitors, they are always in awe of the road with its palm trees in the centre. It creates a lovely scenic atmosphere and gives off a very pleasant vibe. The neighbours are all wonderful, and I live very close to The Valley Plaza, which I absolutely love.

Hello everyone, my name is Hinchinbrook Joe.

I'm a long-term resident of Hinchinbrook and a proud advocate for our local community. Living here has been a fantastic experience — I consider it a hidden gem. When it comes to shopping, I usually head either to The Valley Plaza in the north or Carnes Hill Marketplace in the south. My two favourite cafés are located in those areas: Black Elk Espresso near Carnes Hill and XS Espresso Green Valley at The Valley Plaza.

Having supermarkets nearby is incredibly convenient for all my grocery needs. I also appreciate the proximity of the local police station, which adds to the sense of safety — although Hinchinbrook is already a very safe and family-friendly suburb overall.

Just behind The Valley Plaza is Winnal Reserve, a spot I often visit to play and organise sports with friends. The main schools in the area — Hoxton Park High School, Hinchinbrook Public School, and Good Samaritan Catholic College — are solid educational options.

Although I don’t go as often as I used to, I occasionally visit Miller Central Shopping Centre. There’s also a social infrastructure masterplan in place to revitalise Miller and further develop the centre, offering even more retail options.

Another favourite spot of mine is the Liverpool Catholic Club, just around the corner. It’s full of great food choices and excellent family activities — especially the ice skating, which is a highlight.

The roads around Hinchinbrook make it easy to access the M7 and M5 motorways, and traffic within the suburb is usually quite manageable. Public transport is also well-serviced, with plenty of bus routes and easy access to nearby train stations like Liverpool, Warwick Farm, Cabramatta, and Edmondson Park. I usually drive to either Cabramatta or Edmondson Park stations — both are less than 15 minutes away.

In terms of location, Hinchinbrook is very central (Southwest). I love being close to new, growing areas like Edmondson Park while also having access to established hubs such as Liverpool CBD — which is set to become one of Sydney’s major cities. Plus, we’re near some amazing food spots in Cabramatta, Canley Heights, and Fairfield.

With the upcoming Western Sydney Airport, there’ll be even more opportunities opening up. I truly believe Hinchinbrook is in the heart of it all.
