Narraweena is full of housing commission. I was unfortunately renting in Nalya road and was surrounded with barking dogs and people living in housing commission who were extremely loud and domestics every other day.

Due to the high housing commission there were many instances of fights and stabbing in local areas near shops of parks so would not say it is safe for kids.
