My family has been living in Berala for over 15 years. I can proudly say this is one of the best suburbs in Sydney to raise kids and enjoy a family life. First of all, with the safe environment, my kids can always have fun in abundant playgrounds, parks; neighbors love to have a stroll after dinner or walk their dogs especially during summer time, which is a habit from most of our Asian background residents: the giggles from running kids, the laughter from neighbors, making a very harmonious picture of the community. And if you are Asians, especially Chinese background, your parents who visit or live here would love the vibe here: seniors playing Taiichi in the morning, doing square dancing in the evening in parks, and even there is a Buddhist temple roots in here. Secondly, a good primary school here. My kids all attended Berala public school and had smooth transitions into good high schools and unis. Thirdly, it is reaallly convenient here in terms of commuting: trains to the city, Parramatta, Lidcombe. Burwood, Ashfield, bankstown. And easy drive to any hubs of Sydney as Berala is literarily located in the central part of Sydney!! Berala is just the perfect place we call home!
