"Overall, a good suburb."
Schools are very good in Werribee, like Suzanne Cory Highschool is an selective school where it got one of the highest VCE results in Victoria. But Werribee is undergoing rapid development and growth which is a good thing but construction is everywhere and traffic jams can be very often! It used to be a scum but now it's honestly one of my favourite suburbs! People are also very friendly and nice here!
Great for
- Great shopping, cafes and restaurants
- Plenty to do for families, and it's relatively cheap
- Short trip between two cities - Melbourne & Geelong
- Nice people and community
- Awesome shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars
Not great for
- Construction
- Traffic due to population boom
- Not enough nightlife
- Traffic!!

"Very Quiet and Family Oriented suburb!"
I love Maidstone, it has very nice friendly people, lots of recreation, good public transport, but houses prices are going up as the suburb is developing quite fast. If you're a parent, please do not go to Maribyrnong College, for the safety of your children as the school has horrible peers, rude teachers, crumbling facilities and disgusting toilets, make sure your child chooses Braybrook College, Footscray College or try out an selective school such as Melb High or Suzanne Cory! I really love Maidstone, but schools do need a huge amount of improvement. Shopping is quite nice as there are loads of shops on Barkly Street strip or Highpoint.
Great for
- Lots of parks.
- Period houses.
- Public transport.
Not great for
- Area is becoming more medium density, as prices go up.

"Junkies all over the suburb"
Braybrook needs an redevelopment, majority of the suburb is decaying and council probably doesn't really care. Braybrook has huge potential but no one ever tries to make the potential reality, it's a very neglected suburb with homes that need to be teared down.
Great for
- Affordability
- Close to the CBD
- Lots of new homes/ estates
Not great for
- Few old/ neglected houses

"HORRIBLE"
Maribyrnong is a great suburb, really like it. BUT Maribyrnong college is a horrible school, if you're moving to maribyrnong never go to that school, one of the worst schools. Make sure to push your child's grades up if they aren't and then try out selective schools such as Suzanne Cory which is in Werribee and only about 10-20km away or Melbourne High which is in the city, or do the ace program for schools like Buckley Park College or Strathmore College. BUT NEVER EVER GO TO MARIBYRNONG COLLEGE, I REPEAT DON'T GO TO THAT HORRIBLE SCHOOL.

May I ask what was wrong with the school? I was considering moving there and maribyrnong college would be the closest high school.
The school doesn't provide adequate education for children, it also raises up junkies and druggies around the area. Don't recommend it at all.
My kids went to this school and they finished degrees and work in professional services. Whats the issue?
Good to see an honest review
