Clifton Beach

"Overpriced."

Do yourself a favour and try Kewarra. Clifton is overrated with 1 cafe and a small shopping centre.

"Avoid this ghetto"

It's cheap for a reason. Cairns locals have a saying. Avoid the M suburbs. Crime, break and enters, violence, this is the suburb.

What a load of crap. That saying has passed its used by date. The same could be said of any intercity suburb before it boomed and Manoora is gentrifying.

mattr31

Its pretty clear you are a fake profile to boost the land values of your property at Kewarra beach.

mattr31

That saying is passed the used by date.

mattr31

And could be said of any inner city suburb before it boomed. Manoora is gentrifying. Get in while you can.

Seems to be a trend of fake profiles giving one star to Manoora as well as other suburbs and 5 stars to Kewarra beach.

Damo the 90s called and wants their saying back.
Haven't you got an episode of friends to go watch rather than trying to Pump your suburbs profile all day?
The thing is, if you read the crime reports there are far more breakins up your way than "the M suburbs".

Mattr and exsydneyguy. Please stop spruiking your garbage. You've got your heads in the clouds if you think Manoora should even be in the top 20.
And please don't spread lies about Manoora having less crime than Kewarra.
Have the 2 of you got a brain between you? Come on guys. People aren't as stupid as you think.

You may call it a ghetto (Or perhaps you are just trying to downvote places not Kewara) but south of Edge Hill down to raintrees it seems like every second street has a house being demolished & rebuild or renovated. Housing commission is being sold off. Businesses and restaurants are popping up everywhere.
It's definitely gentrifying rapidly. Rental prices are through the roof as well because people want to live close to the city and land is limited with the mountains to the west.

Cairns North

"Ghetto. Beware."

Cairns North is fantastic if you love to be broken into constantly, enjoy fighting in the streets at night or generally feeling unsafe.

Trinity Park

"Worst suburb up north"

First. Don't confuse Trinity Park with the northern beaches. The beaches start at Trinity Beach onwards.
New houses going up here are extremely poor in design and quality. Expect problems very early post completion.
Has a shop.
The beach is almost unusable. It backs onto a swamp that is swarming with mosquitoes.
New houses are like lego. Compressed together and all look the same.
Only good thing is that it's close to Smithfield where you can go to the tavern and drink as much as possible to try to forget that you live in Trinity Park.
Now has a tavern near Blue Water where I've heard the waterfront houses are sinking. Great starter suburb for newbies to Cairns before they find their feet and realise there is so much better.

Great for

  • Internet
  • Tavern
  • Close proximity to Smithfield Shopping Centre
  • Quiet

Not great for

  • Sterile and boring
  • Beach infested with mozzies
  • Little trees, foliage or shade

Who lives here?

  • Retirees

Surely when you moved to your revolting little new sub division house you could see that it was going to be hell to live there.
I live in the older section. Lovely neighbors close to marina and big land. And cheaper than your little crappy house on your 400m block. Use some common sense.

franm4

How bad are the mozzies really and all year round?

Kewarra Beach

"The last unspoilt northern beaches suburb"

Stunning beach. Not over developed like Trinity Beach or Palm Cove. Currently undervalued but moving steady in prices. Great little butcher, shopping centre, medical clinic, chemist, pool shop and more. Has child care and a private primary school. Great community and minutes drive to Coles at Clifton or restaurants at Palm Cove. Amazing resort on north end of beach that provides live music and food on the sandy shoreline.
Great if you love open space and not having people everywhere. Houses backing onto the reserve that runs down the middle of Kewarra to the beach are a score.

Great for

  • Friendly
  • Quiet
  • Not crowded

Not great for

  • Could have more cafes

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Singles
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
  • Students
  • Beach Lovers
