Not great for
- Ridiculous amount of time & traffic to travel to Brisbane now
- Becoming overpopulated. Too many units & people
- Grew up on peninsula - 40yrs. It's now lost it's friendly community appeal

Overpopulated.Yes I was not happy when they decided to build a new bridge and fix the old one up ,(over to Brighton),it has encouraged a lot of people to come here, the rot really started back in the war years, WW2 when the Yanks built a concrete road at the Black Flat at Rothwell (a bog hole)on the way to Mango Hill ,before Salt Water Creek and after Salt Water Creek, it's still there (concrete road)covered with bitumen now, my family moved to that area in 1882 into a slab hut ,they thought it was the ants pants, one of them wrote a glowing reports about the dirt floor coverered with sacks, they got it off one of my neighbours great gran father back then. We have been all stuck in this Hell Hole all this time,and people are still moving here, I can't think where to go,I havn't seem any other place I want to go,I think I can stick it out till I die.

you are right Marion, I got trapped on the way to Northgate to catch the train into Brisbane the other day in peak hour, took 40 minutes from Rothwell, bogged down well before Nudgee College on Sandgate road, but if i ever have to do it again I reckon I could do it faster as I studied what was happening, I came home from Central at midday to Rothwell in 45 minutes. Train to Northgate and car to Home.
