Morstone Street

"Very quiet and you can walk to Annandale Central shops"

Morstone St is one of the quietest streets in Annandale. Set opposite Wave Hill Drive, off MacArthur Drive, Morstone Street connects a few small courts with the main traffic flow. The only traffic is from residents and is always quiet and peaceful. On the eastern end you are a very short walk across the park to the shops at Annandale Central and past that you have two of the best schools in Townsville. The street was part of a major subdivision of land developed by Lawrence Lancini and holds numerous master built and prestige homes. A great place to live with easy access to schools, shops, Lavarack, Townsville Hospital and parklands.

MacArthur Drive

"Quickest to the shops and schools"

MacArthur Dr is one of the main roads connecting several courts and side streets to the shops and schools near Annandale Central. You may think it is a busy road, but its not. The peak traffic periods are around the start and end of school each day, otherwise MacArthur Dr is just as quiet as some of the other main streets in Annandale. Living here you are very close to the shops and the kids can walk to school. There is a main bus route along this road making public transport a breeze. Overall a very nice part of Annandale to live in.

Mount Stuart

"Annandale's a great place to live and work - An agents perspective"

What I really love about Annandale are the parklands that intertwine the streets and rivers, the excellent schools in both the eastern and western sides, the independant shopping centre, the proximity to employment and the City, and the fantastic sporting facilities at Murray.

Annandale has always been a strong performer in terms of growth and resale value, so a great place to invest as well as live. As a Real Estate Agent I have seen Annandale go through the good times of 2004-2008 where everyone was seeing some really good growth. But now we are seeing the down times of post-GST insecurity. In these times between 2009 and 2010, Annandale has still performed well with between 2-4% growth in property values. Not bad when other suburbs are actually going backwards.

Annandale is one of those suburbs where you always see people walking or running along parkways, kids are playing in the quiet courts, Saturday morning sees the sports fields packed full of soccer mums and dads and when you sit outside of an evening all you hear is a few birds and the odd Blackhawk helicopter fly overhead.

A truely great place to raise a family and own an investment property.

Barkley Court

"Sought after court with some residents livings here since the early 90s"

Barkley Court is one of the smallest courts off Eucalyptus Ave, with only five properties in total. The homes here are all very established with owners taking pride in their street appeal. Lawns are always mown and gardens looking immaculate. From the northen side of the court you have beautiful views of Mt Stuart. Being on the eastern end of Annandale it is a short drive to Annandale Central, Lavarack Barrack or the Hospital, and you are still only 5-10mins from the city. About 50 metres out of Barkley Ct you have access to some of the natural parklands that run behind Eucalyptus Ave and connect with Wave Hill Dr further east. A great court to live in with mature owners and a couple of young families. There is also a major bus route running in front of the street, with a bus stop a short walk away.

Cycad Court

"Very small court with friendly neighbours"

One of the smallest courts off Cypress Drive, Cycad Ct has only six residences, making it a very sought after area of Annandale. It is only a short walk to the nearest bus stop on Cypress Drive and a short drive to Annandale Central or one of the three schools with bike riding distance. There is a public walkway through to Nowranie Ct and the parklands on the river. A very nice court with a family feel and some very pleasant owners.

Jonquil Crescent

"Quiet, Happy Part of Annandale"

Just off Cypress Drive, Jonquil Crescent, is a very nice quiet street with a typical Annandale family feel. Being a crescent the only traffic is from residents. Every afternoon you will see children playing in the street and people out for walks. Cypress Drive has a main bus route going along it so public transport is a breeze. There is also Annandale State School a short walk away by going through the public reserve west of Jonquil Crescent. A great area to raise a family.
