"Accidentally our forever home"
We moved from Caulfield with the intention of moving to Mentone or Mordialloc at the furthest, and by chance we moved to Chelsea. What a blessing in disguise. We know all our neighbors down most of our road, and everyone says hello. The shopping strip has everything we need within walking distance - butcher, newsagents, pharmacies, bakers delight, a woolworths, many thriving cafes, banks, fish and chips, burgers, thai, vietnamese, indian...I could go on. People are geneuinly friendly and helpful here, many families moving into the area. An abundance of local schools to pick from. This is all not even mentioning the beach. The beach! Golden clean sand, calm, not many people, and right beside a huge palyground - Victory Park. We also have a library, Community Centre, Activity Centre, Bicentennial Park, Skate park.... Chelsea it seems is the new south east beachside local

Hello Chelsea people. I'm a retired school music teacher / musician coming from Malvern who's purchased an apartment on The Strand close to the beach and it seems everything is also conveniently close to me. I'm looking forward to it so much and hopefully my older kids will come over. Chelsea seems not to be too fashionable and trendy which is down to earth and the best of both worlds. Of course, at the moment we've got the lock down and once the train line is lowered in the ground it will even better. the comments from other Chelsea people sound fantastic and have given me some good tips and advice about the local attractions. Moving in soon, can't wait. Cheers Robert
Hey Olga, love your review, we're looking to move to Chelsea and you've made it sound amazing! Would you say there is much difference between Edithvale and Chelsea, is one better than the other or are they similar?
