Hi, we have lived in Ascot Vale for about 20 years now and you would be hard pressed to find a better suburb and let me explain why. At the moment it takes me 15 minutes to drive to work into the city, otherwise I jump on a tram at Union Road and then get a train at Newmarket station and am at Spencer Street in 20 minutes. We have Flemington race course, the show grounds with heaps of events all year round, the Maribyrnong river with walking and cycling trails. We are also very close to the airport and Victoria market and all the restaurants and facilities in the city. It has great shopping, coffee shops, a golf course, parks and is a safe place to raise your family. There are a range of great schools both primary and secondary and a variety of of recreational clubs including fishing, gold, football, and cricket People talk about the housing commission but this is being purchased by private investors and much of it is being transformed over time to a mix of private and public housing. I love the area and encourage you to enjoy the experience, it’s a wonderful place to live which is comprised of a fantastic diverse community.
