This street is a central meeting place for the locals. Some of Brisbane's best cheap eats are along this road. There is also one of West End's best cafes, which is tiny, but has live music almost every night. The Asian grocer is really friendly and helpful. Love to see one or two more streets like this grow up in West End. Love it.

This is the only suburb in Brisbane where you can live and work without access to a car, without visiting a supermarket, and without buying junk from a fast food chain. You will not find a KFC, or Maccas or a Westfield mall on this enclave. You will find, however, great authentic ethnic and organic food, a farmer's market, and public transport that gets you anywhere, assuming that you need to travel beyond the central hub that is within walking distance of every residence on the enclave. You will be amazed at how much money you save when you step out of the consumer mainstream. This town is what modern urban designers are trying to create around the world. You can't go past it.
