I've lived here for nearly 3 years and plan to stay a lot longer. There are beautiful old houses and many cafes, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Also the area is bicycle friendly and there's many buses as well as the train. A lot of people seem to perceive Vic Park as a high crime area, but I've never had a problem here. There are sometimes some dodgy people around the main streets, but not too many. My housemate called the police once, but that was because he saw a proselytising Christian and didn't approve!
