Reviews of Villawood, NSW
"Small quiet convenient suburb close to everything."
Lived here for 8 months near the Woodville road shops. Place is changing pretty rapidly with new apartment blocks being built. Super convenient place to live, everything in Sydney is fairly close, good highways and train line. Cheap area for shopping/produce and some delicious restaurants close by. Also really close to st George's River which I would go for walks all the time, found it really peaceful there and so quiet. Villawood will be the next great suburb in the South West, it's on the up and has the space for new shops which are popping up and has a location you can't beat for the price.

"Acceptable first home location"
Villawood is a place where people settle temporarily and then try to get out as they realize it's in the middle of suburban wasteland with little to recommend it in lifestyle, natural beauty, convenience, quality schools or safety. It's cheap for a reason.

"Close to Everything and a convenient place to be."
On contrary to what people believe Villawood is, it is quite the opposite.
Peaceful and genuine people. McDonalds, KFC, Aldi, Bunnings, BWS are just down the road
Primary school is located within walking distance.
Its location cannot be matched, 10-15 minutes in any direction gets you to a major centre.
Bankstown, Liverpool, Cabramatta, Fairfield shopping centre and 20 minutes to take you to Parrammatta along Woodville road.
Great location to go to the park at Georges Hall. Great place to live.

"Just a typical Western Sydney suburb"
Villawood is about a thirty to forty minutes' drive to the city and is located in the western part of Sydney. Villawood has a train station and it is usually an hour's journey to get to Central Station from here. There are also private buses that goes to Bankstown and Parramatta.
Villawood is a very multicultural suburb with many migrants living here because of the relatively cheaper rent and property prices as compared to other parts of Sydney. Additionally, income levels are lower around this part of Sydney.
Many people view Villawood as a bad suburb due to the infamous Villawood detention facility.
