Hoping to relocate to Glenwood?

Hello, we are looking at maybe buying a block of land at Glenwood. We are in our late 50s & early 60s. Our kids have relocated to Sunny Coast. We cant afford to buy there. Is it too far for travel time to Sunny Coast from Glenwood. Also work wise what is job situation like down that way? I work in Medical field, husband a Baker. Is mobile phone coverage and internet connection ok?

Recommend Glenwood 10/10. I moved here about 2 years ago from Brissy and haven't regretted it one bit. I didn't get an empty lot though, bought an established property.
For me the location is perfect, I can enjoy the quiet life with my family and all it has to offer while being close enough to other places if I want to mingle. The drive to the Sunny Coast is good as it is now, but in about 6 months it'll get even quicker because that's when the Gympie Bypass will be built.

As for work, the local community is very active and there's a good mix of people providing local services. If your husband can set up a baking situation from home then there's a local market where people sell what they make and grow. As for medical, there's the Gympie Hospital and there's plenty of clinics in Gympie and Maryborough.

Phone coverage (optus) is good, and internet is good as well with wireless NBN.
