Alfred street is a small street close to the city. It is very narrow and has very narrow footpaths. There is not a lot of street parking available.

The cottages make for a very pretty little street, although there are a lot of houses making the street quite busy with foot traffic. As the roads are so narrow there is not a lot of through traffic.

However, it is very close to the city and well serviced by smaller shops. You can see the MCG and hear it during big games.

It is a quiet street, despite the large numbers of cars travelling on the major roads nearby, there is very little traffic noise.

It is the ideal spot for young professionals that want to be close to the city but don't need a lot of room to move.
