Thinking of moving to Canning Vale with a young family

Agreed with Donald on train access & main roads in peak periods can be congested but flow is still relatively good during the peak hours. Canning Vale covers a large area & is made up of several estates with a number of good primary schools (both public and private).
It is a very safe area & has many beautiful parks and lakes spread throughout the estates.
The first class golf course in Brookland Greens is an added bonus.
This suburb is pretty safe and also has a few good primary schools around like Caladenia Primary school, Campbell Primary school. It's about 20km from the Perth city so it's not too far away if you're working in the city. However, this suburb does not have direct access to the train stations. You will have to take buses to Murdoch train station if you're heading to the city.
Ranford and Waratah Estates are lovely, Sanctuary Waters has a gorgeous lake but a bit further out. Crimes mentioned on the Canning Vale Chat Facebook page usually seem to happen more frequently in Brookland Green or Glenariff estate. Waratah Estate has an awesome cafe (Blvd) as well as a few little shops and a really good school. Ranford Estate has lovely lakes, a fenced dog park, oval and also a great primary school.
