Empire Street, Footscray, VIC 3011

Heh, well maybe not king but I did run the deli on the corner when it was a thriving biz'
I have seen my fair share of events in empire st & eldridge st I can tell you.
I think long term you need to forget the riff raff or whether the buildings are falling down, the blocks of land are huge and look where it is, in 25 years it will be priceless, you just want to live somewhere else in the mean time.

Empire Street would have to be the filthiest street in Footscray.
It would appear that all residents of the street, think that it is their right to just put rubbish out onto the grass in front of their place of abode. This varies from rubbish to clothes to electrical items to mattresses. In fact even recycling material is put out onto the street a metre from the recycling bin but not in it.
It would appear that most of the residents feel like they are still living in their home country, which obviously doesnt care that they just put their rubbish out on the side of the road. Well if you are going to treat it like your old country, why dont you go back there.

Empire Street has deriorated to a hoon haven where speeding and loud cars are the norm!
Dirty in general, multiple thefts and asaults are commonplace as the police will tell you.
Many of the blocks of flats are in a delapidated state.
