Reviews of Eric Green Drive, Mona Vale
"Winnererremy Bay - Suburban Paradise"
Could you twist my arm to make me live at Eric Green Drive or The Esplanade, Winnererremy Bay, in Mona Vale?? No. It wouldn’t be necessary. As much as I’d love an ocean view or something similarly grand, the lifestyle available to the residents of this exclusive enclave, especially if young children are involved, is second to none.
The houses are of extravagant proportions, though the blocks (and privacy) are not reminiscent of Hollywood grandeur. The drawcard for these streets, and the surrounding ones though (aside from the fact that The Esplanade boasts several beautiful waterfront properties), is what is available mere metres from the front door.
Winnererremy Bay is a large, level parkland offering possibly the biggest bike path on the Northern Beaches peninsula. It also has a big fenced children’s playground, with both toddler and older children’s areas, and also picnic tables and toilet facilities. Then, on the foreshore, there are several shaded picnic tables and barbecues. The ‘beach’ area is good for paddling at high tide but is otherwise not great for swimming.
The icing on the cake is the Flying Fox café which offers reasonably priced, and fairly decent, meals and snacks, and is child friendly with toys and a black board.
A great place for a day trip (very crowded on fine weekends and school holidays), an even better place to live close to.
