Is Humboldt Park in Chicago a safe neighborhood?

Humboldt Park has actually gotten worse these last few years. I have several good friends who hear gunshots almost EVERY night. Why ppl r still buying expensive condos & million dollar single family homes is unbelievable. Get a smaller cheaper place in bucktownm/Uk village. Talk to police officers around there. Research crime stats 4 the area. Do ur homework it’s worth ur life
Humboldt Park isn't the safest place, though I would say it's a funny neighborhood. The closer you get to West Town (the Eastern part of Humboldt Park) the safer it gets. There is still a bit of crime here, though I think it will see marked improvement in the near future.
Not very safe now, but it's making strides at improving that. Humboldt Park is slowly becoming a trendy area of the city, which is allowing the crime level to go down. It definitely has the potential to become a safe neighborhood.
