Reviews of Mansfield, QLD
"Perfect blend of suburban tranquility and urban convenience"
Mansfield has been our home for over 15 years. This quiet suburb has provided us with a fantastic community and a peaceful atmosphere to raise our family. Our kids attended Mansfield Sate School which is one of the best public schools in Brisbane. Mansfield offers a perfect blend of suburban tranquility and urban convenience. We have easy access to major shopping centres like Garden City and Carindale. Additionally, the suburb’s proximity to the highway allows us to jump on the road in no time, whether we’re headed to the City or the Gold Coast. We’re grateful for our time here and look forward to many more years in this fantastic community

"Lovely suburb perfect for family"
Lovely suburb with top public school, mins of drive to Carindale shopping centre and garden city shopping centre. The Neigbourhood is very friendly, probably the most friendly I have experienced in Brisbane. Only takes 15 mins drive to the city on the weekend.

"Nice family suburb"
I've lived in Mansfield decades and have found it to be a great family suburb with good shops and a sense of community. Neighbours are friendly and watch out for eachother, older couples tend to keep to themselves but stay long after their children leave home to enjoy the quiet suburb. I have found there is a higher rate of owner occupiers compared to other nearby suburbs. The suburb is very safe and kids play on the streets to ride their bikes, great community feel.

"Beautiful suburb"
I have lived in Mansfield for almost 20 years and it is a beautiful suburb. Neighbours are friendly and there is a good sense of community. Schools very good as well and Council projects happening to improve roads and shops. Lots of native birds and plenty of parks for families.

"It WAS good"
Everyone knows that Mansfield's schools are good, so that is a plus point for the area. I have been in Mansfield for over 10 years and it has changed. My house has been graffitied (2012), broken into (2019) and vandalised (2020). Transport is good and it has good access to the highways, shops and parks. I had to add extra security at great cost to feel safe. If you are going to move here, full secure fencing, full security screens and alarms are a must. I want out!
Update: I moved to a nearby suburb, my Mansfield house is now an investment property and suffered more vandalism in 2021.
Sorry to hear about the vandalism, I have never heard of this in Mansfield before, however anywhere near Wecker Road is a bit rougher than the nicer streets further in since it is across from a semi-industrial area. The Tavern is eventually going to be knocked down and replaced with the Wecker Road Markets shops I believe. I think the project was delayed due to COVID. This might remove the issues caused by the tavern! All the best
"Quiet, Leafy and Friendly"
Absolutely loved the location and everything else. Lots of nice parks and picnic grounds. Excellent schools along with nice quiet location away from the hustle and bustle but yet still not too far from everything (including two Westfields!). Above all else, such friendly warm neighbours to top it all of.

Agree, I have been in Mansfield over 10 years and it has changed in the last few. Crime prevalent.
"Lovely and Leafy"
I moved to Mansfield with my wife a year ago with a view to starting our family. We chose this location for its many benefits such as:
1. Excellent choice of schools (public and private) ie Mansfield State High which is highly sought after;
2. Quite leafy streets and parks with minimal through traffic;
3. Good access to public transport with buses that go direct to the city where I work or a short drive to Coorparoo train station;
4. Shopping and entertainment (in between Garden City and Carindale Westfields);
5. Ease of access to the southern hwys to the Gold Coast for weekend trips; and
6. Capital growth potential (for example it borders on to the affluent Carindale) and is within 10km of the CBD and has a high proportion of owner/occupiers so people take pride in their homes and neighbourhoods.
We love the peaceful and safe lifestyle the suburb provides and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxed and comfortable way of life.
