Best music venues around Melbourne.

Melbourne has arguably the best music scene in Australia, so it only seems fitting that the city has some great venues. Such as...

Cherry bar in CBD
Firstly, this place is on AC/DC lane, so that's already some pretty good music credentials.
It has also rejected Noel Gallagher’s offer to buy it and refused Lady Gaga hosting an after party there.

Palais Theatre
Found on the St Kilda foreshore and is the largest seated theater in the country. It is on the heritage register and has had The Rolling Stones play here.

The Workers Club in Fitzroy
The intimate venue has music playing most nights of the week. They often have alternative bands showcasing here.

The Corner Hotel in Richmond and The Workers Club in Fitzroy definitely get my vote as well.

You also can't go past The Evelyn Hotel in Fitzroy (http://evelynhotel.com.au/), The Toff in Town on Swanston Street below the rooftop bar & cinema (http://thetoffintown.com/), The Espy and The Palais in St Kilda (http://www.palaistheatre.net.au/) or The Tote in Collingwood (http://thetotehotel.com/) for great live music in Melbourne.
