"The long street that runs through both albert park and south melbourne!"
This street will take you from cosmopolitan albert park through upmarket st vincents place all the way to the industrial side of south melbourne approaching docklands. The local iconic O'Connells hotel is located on the south melbourne end, on the corner of montague and coventry streets, well worth a visit.

"Best location in Melbourne"
Montague Street has 2 sections - the more up-market Middle Park/Albert Park end and then the South Melbourne / Port Melbourne end.
You wont get much change for less than 1 million in the Albert Park area, however the more grungy Port Melbourne area is slightly more affordable.
It is really close to city and the beach via tram.

it's also a pretty quiet street, wide, with many trees. It's nealry all residential, with a tram for a small section. It cuts through the lovely st vincent gardens, right through albert park village, and is home to some great pubs and cafe including at the South Melb end: Montague Hotel, Montague Park FoodStore, O'Connell's Hotel.
