Reviews of Mornington, VIC
"Lived here since 1977."
Mornington Main Street is the Chapel Street of the Peninsula. It's in a great Location at the Gateway to the Mornington Peninsula. We have great Beaches, Walking Tracks & Parks, short drive to World Class Golf Courses, Wineries & Outstanding Schools. The town offers a plethora of Restaurants & Cafes. We've raised our children here, owned local businesses, lived in 4 different houses in the suburb and just love the life here. Mornington is a great place to live and I wouldn't swap it, it's like being on a permanent Holiday yet an easy commute to Melbourne

"I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else"
It’s the perfect location being close to the beach as well as only an hours drive from the city but it still has that small town feel about it. The local community is generally good people & it’s only gets busy in summer. Wildlife is beautiful & so are the views from the shoreline. I would of given Mornington 5 stars but in recent years violent youth crime has become a problem so that’s why it gets 4.

Have Lived In Mt Martha for 12 years and have a 15 year old Daughter at Padua. Most people here are Married, Your Child may be best frends with Children for years but you as the Sole Parent are NEVER be invited to any Social Event, no amount of networking cuts the Mustard .
The Lifesaving Club at Mt Martha to enrol into Nippers told me that a Parent had to attend each Sunday to Volunteer in order for my Daughter to participate with her School friends, I worked on Sundays, I could get her there and home but as I could not attend due to work she was not welcome
The area is very safe, iwn my iwn home but the people, all Mortgaged to the hilt are not very nice .

"Convenient lifestyle near Mornington's best amenities"
Mornington is the heart of the Mornington Peninsula. Residents indulge in the many shops on their door step with ease of transportation and proximity to some of the areas best attractions. The suburb boasts a renowned Yacht Club, nearby park, popular beaches, Beleura Hill, Main St and popular schools including recently developed Mornington Primary School and Padua College. The main shopping strip is gorgeously tree lined with a view of the bay at the end of the street. Mornington has a variety of shopping centre precincts including Mornington Central, Peninsula Home, Bentons Square Shopping Centre and the newly built Home Consortium Shopping Centre on Mornington-Tyabb Rd. The area has a total of 7 supermarkets to choose from and a variety of other popular retail names on offer. The area is undergoing a massive transformation with a variety of new contemporary townhouses being built in replace of older brick houses. The suburb also offers other housing due to its diverse range of living styles. For example, 4 storey apartments are common towards the beach end of Main St and provide bay views. Beleura Hill however retains its exclusive appeal by being home to mostly large properties with views of the bay. The area's proximity to the popular Golf Course also adds to the appeal. Overall, the bayside suburb is the most ideal location on the Mornington Peninsula and it is clear to see why it is so popular.

"No wonder its a great place to live"
What more could you want. Probably the best long Main Street in Australia and abundance of cafes and eateries, More wineries than you can handle Decent priced shopping free parking the beach the harbour, the racecourse the list goes on and on and on If I was picky the train stops at Frankston so you have to drive at least there for the train. In minutes your in the country though as welll if you head east Finding a property, that is tough, as the world and his wife want to move there but the above are the reasons why.

"Gorgeous sea side suburb"
I love visiting Mornington. There is an abundance of cafes, restaurants, boutique shops and clothes and gift stores to explore. There is a buzz on the busy street as people dine out on the street and enjoy the sea breeze. The variations of food stores is exciting as you are able to try different cuisines and soak up the atmosphere.
There is a large lark at the end of the main street which the kids will love. If the weather is great, you can go paddle boards or snorkelling in the bay. The front beach is clean and safe. There is a great walk on the side of the hills which has a fantastic view of the peninsula. In recent years the newly built freeway/peninsula link, makes this suburb closer to the city.
Spend a day in Mornington and you will fall in love with the area and will be sure to return.

"Still a small town with all the other benefits"
I have lived here for 15 years, it has changed somewhat over the years, for the better as far a I am concerned, wineries have popped up everywhere and is great for the tourists. The beaches are to die for and there is always something to do. When visitors are around there is a never ending list of places to go and see, especially the Mazes around the area, the kids just love it. I would never live anywhere else. Eating out is a hard choice due to the amount of restaurants and cafes here. Just love it.

"A gem with everything!"
Mornington in Victoria is immortalised in the song by the Seekers 'Morning Town Ride' and used to be at the end of the rail line. It is now a modern and trendy place by the bay in Victoria. As part of the Mornington Peninsula it is surrounded by beaches and boasts over 60 wineries. There are outstanding places to dine such as Salix restaurant and Max's which are in two of the local wineries. Views from many places on the peninsula are breath taking and coffee shops and cafes abound throughout the region. When hosting interstate visitors we have endless places to show them and share our wonderful corner of the world. A drive through golf course which hugs the sea is one of many amazing places to visit or Arthur's Seat which surveys the bay from great heights. Having lived here for only seven years we cannot imagine anywhere more beautiful or interesting. How many areas have such a range of lifestyles including farms, beaches, wineries, bush and cafes/restaurants?
