"The best street in Collingwood!"
I bought in Oxford St in mid 2008 and have not regretted or considered moving since.
Living just above Proud Mary's (on the corner of Oxford and Stanley), I have the best of all worlds at my door step. 2 x top cafes in my street alone + many other food and bar options around the corner on Smith St and close proximity to Fitzroy.
I walk into the city most days for work and taxis will always pick you up / take you there.
If youre looking at buying into funky warehouse conversions... look no further - we have it all here!

"Funky & Vibrant"
Loved living here and miss it a lot - was lucky enough to own one of the freestanding properties on this street and were the envy of all our DINK friends. Considering being right on the city's doorstep, it was lovely peaceful and quiet and if out in the backyard on a weekend, you could hear the roar of the crowd from the MCG .. oh, the nightly smell of fantastic things cooking in the kitchens of Smith St .. yum!

"The Centre of Melbourne's Warehouse Precinct"
What was once the Foy & Gibson warehouses and factories has been converted into a thriving residential precinct.
The 3-5 storey red brick warehouse buildings lining the street, and its twin, Cambridge St, provide a great aesthetic, a favoured location for film crews.
Located close to the bohemian yet chic Smith and Gertrude Streets, there are an abundance of great shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, hairdressers within very short walking distance. If you're not spoiled enough for choice in the restaurant and shopping department, Brunswick St is 5 minutes' walk and Lygon 15 minutes.
This location is easily walkable to the Melbourne CBD (20-30 minutes) via the beautiful Fitzroy gardens but well serviced by the 86 tram if you're not feeling so energetic.
Oxford St has a great balance of the Collingwood vibe and gentrified luxury making it a great place for anyone who enjoys the energy and convenience of the cosmopolitan inner city.
