Reviews of Queen Street, Norwood
"Busy at all times, but a great location"
Queen Street is a residential street that cuts across the Norwood Parade. There are modern townhouses, cottages and bungalows, and everything is just a stone's throw from all of the offerings of the Parade - its shopping complexes, dining options and cinemas.
The problem with this location is that it is always so busy. Parking is a continual challenge, because everyone visiting the Parade parks here as well as all of the parents of the kids who attend St Ignatius which is situated on this street too. Traffic is often at a standstill, and can be very frustrating.
On the note of parking - be careful not to park in the carpark of the Bath Hotel as they will clamp your wheels - very very frustrating and expensive too!!
Yet despite the parking problems, it is a great area if you like to be close to lots of atmosphere. Plus it is just a short bus ride or long (but manageable) walk to the CBD.
