Pretty non existent. The planes flying to and from BNE are at an altitude over the peninsula that doesn't create noise and the plane from the aerodrome tend to fly along the coast. You hear the odd helicopter and tiger moth (vintage flights). The main one one you hear is the parachute drop off plane in which the jumpers land usually on Queens Beach or occaisionally down at woody point depending on the wind direction.

Thanks Mark01. Having lived in Newport now for 18 months I can confirm for other prospective residents that aircraft noise is minimal. Only a couple of hours, maybe once every 7-8 weeks we get aircraft overflying very high from Brisbane Airport. It's a welcome sound [distant roar] that keeps me feeling connected with the world. Overall, the northern end of the peninsular is very quiet in all respects.
