Reviews of Regents Park, NSW

"Live in Regents Park for 5 years"

I bought a unit and live there for 5 years, I moved to other suburb recently due to work and lease out my apartment. I like this place and I will keep my apartment there and hope one day I can come back. It is a nice suburb, however I heard that local public school is not so good, but there is a good private Christian school you can choose.

Great for

  • Easy train to Sydney CBD
  • Quiet & safe

Not great for

  • Public School is not so good

Looking for a home in Regents Park?

"Convenient living - many apartments close the train station."

Only 1 train stop to Lidcombe - so very convenient transport to the CBD - you can either go to Lidcombe for a range of restaurants (Korean, etc...) or you can catch the train to Bankstown for grocery shopping too. Close proximity to the city. The apartments along the train station is a good option for students & professionals too. Highly recommended.

"Locals"

This is a strategic central location in the middle of Sydney for someone who are spoil on shops, schools, sports, entertainments, eateries, and transports.

This is a best strategic location in the heart of Sydney, no crime recorded and in between of two largest CBD Sydney(15 Kms) and Parramatta (10kms), Bankstown (5Kms), Cabramatta (9 Kms) Asia tourist destinations, food, shoppings, and 11 Kms to Macquarie Park

Most of the lands are decent more than 500 Sqm, which is in the long run has potential to build Architecture houses or private design houses, already happening around Yukka, Berry and Maulders Streets, Some demand atleast well over Millions. Unlike surrounding suburbs which has uneven block of lands and small sizes very hard to engage to builders to build nice houses. Doctors, IT professionals, Dentists, Business owners who call this quiet place home, soon Regents Park will be more expensive than Lidcombe or Berala, due to its large block of lands, have potential to build architect massive houses which would demand higher prices, it is protected by North Berala (Auburn to Berala then Regents Park), South/west Birrong, Sefton (block Basshills and Yagoona), East Lidcombe/Strathfield, it is hidden away from all the bad elements.

"Middle Kingdom"

Central to everything, Auburn super malls, Costco, Bankstown shopping mall, Olympic Park, Ikea, Parramatta, Cabrammatta within a short distance.

Exclusive suburb protect by CityRail Lines; North (Berala); South Sydney Water; West Birrong and East Lidcombe and Strathfield. This has the lowest middleast population compare surround suburbs. Berry and Yukka street are millionaires play grounds.

"Central to Every Thing"

Regents Park is hidden gem, few minutes to Bankstown shopping mall, to Parramatta Road home shopping, Short distance to North, Parramatta, South, and City East. Has one of the biggest golf clubs nearby, close to Sydney Uni Cumberland campus, Lidcombe station close by, express train to City, or Parramatta. This area used to be the most expansive, more expensive than Burwood. The good thing is Regents Park still keeps it charms, not many middleastern, alot of Indian and Chinese move in this area. Botanica is new housing complex, for middle class family just finished built. A lot of parks, and very quiet.

"Good start for young couples"

Affordable area to buy or rent, helpful neighbours, lots of young families in the area and very pet friendly with nice parks. By car it takes about 40 minutes to get into the city, grocery shopping and eateries are limited, but Lidcombe and Bankstown are close. Would not recommend living too close to the train station as housing seems quite dense.
