A grand and elegant boulevard, bounding one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world, runs north south from the CBD to the cosmopolitan and bohemian beach side suburb of St KIlda. St Kilda Rd is a landmark feature of the city of Melbourne. At it's northern end lies the cultural heart of Melbourne with the National Art Gallery of Victoria, a variety of concert halls and theatre complexes. The Southbank complex on the banks of the river Yarra offers a huge choice of restaurants as well as the famous Crown Casino.
