Reviews of Coolangatta, QLD
"A well kept secret"
Clean, friendly and relaxed. Coolangatta, Rainbow Bay, Greenmount and Kirra are all walking distance from each other and are the most beautiful beaches in Australia. Tweed Heads is across the road and with the newly landscaped Boyds Bay development it is a great place for a relaxing stroll, a picnic or swim in calm, clean water. This is a great area to live or holiday, trust me, this is a hidden gem.

"The most affordable beachy lifestyle"
Relocating from cold old Melbourne many years ago i can really appreciate a great place to not only holiday but live.
As Kirra 's local real estate expert for over 10 years i can honestly say that the Southern end of the Gold Coast with its pristine beaches , diverse retail and the close proximity to CBD Coolangatta & Tweed, that Kirra is one of the best destinations for those seeking a beachy laid back lifestyle without the glamour of Surfers Paradise.
For those wanting property , whether for Holiday or , Permanent Rental or to purchase their very own slice of Paradise then Kirra is a brilliant and most affordable choice -

"Stunning Kirra"
Kirra whats not to like, great beaches lots of great places to eat out and as for living buying or renting it is affordable. Another bonus is cooly, greenmount, rainbow, snapper & dbar are just around the corner from kirra so there is always something going on and lots to do if your on a budget. This part of the coast is undeniably the best and feels like a step back from what surfers and broady have become, I am looking forward to calling this little slice of paradise home!

"Cooly"
Coolangatta or 'Cooly' features world renowned beaches and beauty. Houses are extremely scarce in the area and few sell every year. You can buy them except they rarely come up and are in high demand. Rent is still very cheap and options are endless. Cooly has it all restaurants, shopping and more you really must check it out!

"From Coolangatta to Kirra the beaches are golden!"
From Coolangatta to Kirra the beaches are golden!
Some of the best surf in the entire world. Snapper Rocks, Kirra beach, Cooly Beach and the tweed river make this ones of the nicest places to retire. In the past few years lots of developments have been built along the beachside and beachfront. In particular Niecon has released an amazing product for example Nirvana and Reflections are just flawless.
Time and time again Niecon has proven its longevity within the market as one of queenslands leading developers. Niecon seems only to build the creme de la creme. Hats off guys keep up the good work, i especially love Reflections.

"Catch all the Gold Coast action in this busy coastal town"
Coolangatta is the southern-most town of Queensland's Gold Coast, which is the sprawling stretch of beaches and high rises to the south of Brisbane.
One of Australia's most famous tourist attractions, this place is busy at the best of times and visitors flock to the region to make the most of the beaches, atmosphere and nightlife.
Living in Coolangatta can be quite cruisy, if you can find a spot away from the crowds. The homes are large on reasonably sized blocks, there are a number of schools and various transport options (including an airport with frequent flights around Australia).
The climate and the beaches are the true stand-out points for this spot.

"Great Beaches, Great Vibe"
Coolie manages to escape without much of the seediness that so sadly afflicts nearby Surfers Paradise. The beaches ares stunning with white sand and great swells and the locals aren't quite so aggro about their breaks. There is significantly less violence on the streets of Coolangatta, although some youth travel up from the Tweed occasionally to pick a barney or two. Street brawling is rare here though. It encapsulates the feel of Hawaii with an air of laid back relaxation, but there is still plenty of nightlife activities, bars, clubs, restaurants and the like. Accommodation can be found on the reasonable side as long as you don't want to be beachfront. Coolangatta has some lovely little parks for little ones to play about in and I recommend it thoroughly as a holiday destination.

"This is a great place to live and a great place to holiday."
Coolangatta has been a holiday destination as far back as I can remember. It is a little cheaper to stay at this end of the Gold Coast than it is closer to the Gold Coast, but in saying that there really is a variety from the caravan parks to the resorts.
Coolangatta has been a popular family holiday destination for so long because it has so many activities to offer. Virtually anything you can think of that does not need snow, you can do at Coolangatta or nearby. Not too far away is Currumbin Bird Sanctury, the Tropical Fruit World, Kirra world reknown surf beach and houseboats on the river.
The shopping in Coolangatta will keep you occupied for hours with all the beach wear and evening wear. If you want to just sit back and relax, you can in any of the many cafs or restaurants. If not, take a short walk to the point in the south and watch the surf, or north round the hill to Kirra where you can watch more surf.
