"GREAT SUBURB!"

Robina is a great suburb for location and lifestyle. One of the best shopping facilities on the Gold Coast with Robina Town Centre, 5-10 minute drive to Burleigh Beach, M1 motorway and great schools are also within easy reach. If you want to know more about living here, contact Matt Micallef and his team, Robina's Leading Agent.

"Robina is the perfect place to live!"

Robina has great diversity, there are so many things to love, but I do feel that a huge bonus is you are literally within a 5-min round trip & I really mean 3 to 5 mins of everything you need. Robina public & Private Hospital, CBUS Stadium for sporting events & concerts. Train station & great bus routes, primary & high schools, a huge shopping centre with all the brands you need. But then you also have your smaller community villages, lots of green space & all a 10-15 min drive to the beach.

"Not what it seems"

Robina seems like a great option but beware it is not. Evergreen View is the worst place I have ever lived. If you want your home vandalised, children screaming 10+ hours a day, drug deals and neighbours who love to harass and bully you then Robina is the place for you!

Wow you must be in a bad area as I have never experienced any of your issues. I have lived here for over 4 years having moved up from down South and really love it. We have two kids and they love Robina. We live overlooking a golf course and at most times during the day and night you could hear a pin drop.
There is so much to love. Robina shopping Centre is fantastic, great walks, cafes and restaurants, family friendly and just great facilities in general. It is just so close to everywhere- 10 mins drive to Burleigh or Broadbeach and a 10 minute walk to Varsity from our place. Very happy resident.

"Arguably the best suburb for families on the Gold Coast!"

As a real estate agent agent working in Robina, I meet residents of Robina on a daily basis. These are very often families who have lived in the suburb in excess of 20 years and is testament to how wonderful the suburb is.

Robina is a great suburb for families, with a fantastic infrastructure and a good choice of state and private schools. There are lots of wonderful parks and it’s a short drive to the beach and hinterland. It’s really very difficult to beat as far as lifestyle goes and hence the reluctance of residents to leave the suburb.

This does make it a little difficult for new families wanting to buy in the suburb, however, for this very reason it is a great investment to own a property in the suburb and the price of houses has grown steadily and consistently over many years.

A recent trend in the area is the renovation of older homes and there are some beautifully renovated homes that have come onto the market recently.

There is rarely new homes available to purchase, however, every once in a while a home will be demolished and a new one built in its place. This is the case at 1 Bilgola Place, Robina and the block has been cleared and subdivided and there will be 2 new 4 bedroom homes built and ready for sale in April 2019.

I expect this to become a trend in the suburb as the value of the blocks continue to rise due to the suburb being so sought after.

To see more on the development at 1 Bilgola Place have a look at https://orrentopolansky.com.au/1-bilgola-place-robina-1/

I think a common comment I hear from interstate migrants says it all, when they say that the only mistake they made about moving to Robina was that they didn’t move sooner!

"So central, but expensive for smaller, older houses"

Expensive homes for the size, small blocks than many other suburbs, but the centrality to shopping, train, footy stadium, hospital is all great. If you’re thinking of moving here and you’re not from the Coast, don’t expect the beach!

Great for

  • Shopping, dining, entertainment

Not great for

  • Expensive housing
  • Too much thru traffic

"Robina ticks every box"

Going through the category ratings like public transport, parking, schools, shopping, medical facilities, eating out etc... Robina really does tick every box. The recently refurbished Robina Town Centre is the Gold Coast's largest and most popular shopping, entertainment and dining precinct with the Coast's only David Jones (and a range of other department stores and boutiques), plus Event Cinemas, and a number of cafes and lakeside restaurants. There's the newly upgraded Robina Hospital and the new Qld Health medical precinct, we have the Robina transport hub with train station, and buses servicing the whole Coast. Skilled Park Stadium, golf courses, parks and lakeside walking tracks throughout make Robina a healthy choice for outdoor activities. Parking is free and abundant.

Best of all it is at the geographic heart of the Gold Coast close to everything, yet far enough away from the tourist strip, so it is very popular with locals including owner occupiers and high long term rental demand making it a great place to live or invest with a high population and price growth. Property choice is abundant in a range of prices and styles from new property like Paddington Terraces @ Robina from $399,000, 38 Riverwalk (new apartments) from $499,000, and a range of good quality resale detached houses, townhouses and apartments. Robina property holds its value very well compared to the Gold Coast at a whole with price growth of over 5%pa for the past 10 years.

Great for

  • Shopping, dining, entertainment
  • Robina Hospital and Medical precinct
  • Transport, schools and other conveniences

I have a rare 3766m2 waterfront land in peach dr, robina that has little interest. Has the prestige market dried up on the gold coast or am I best continuing my efforts but focus on overseas buyers?

ConradHyslop
ConradHyslop

Hi there
Land is always traditionally slower to move than other established properties. However there is always a market. I know the block that you are reffering to and would love the opportunity to show you how we can achieve a sale.
You really need to have a good grasp of who your end buyer will be and think like they do. There are certain ingredients to any sale, which when you get them right, will result in a sale.. The process is in fact very simple.... I am happy to sit down with you at some stage to show you how this is done......

JuliaR

1300jackie is this property / land still for sale we are looking in this street to buy and would prefer vacant land?

"Here your local real estate agent tell you why Robina/Varsity Lakes is a GREAT place to live!"

Wow is all that can be said about the fabulous Robina Town Centre Shopping Centre. With Myers just about ready to open their new shop you will think you are in shopping heaven , shop until you drop, pop in to one of the many restaurants, take in a movie in our new theatre maybe even go Gold Class.

The new Varsity Lakes railway station has now opened and you can pop on the train stop off at Robina Town Centre, travel on up to a show / shopping in Brisbane or out to Brisbane Airport. With lots of choice in both private, public and high schools, Bond University, Market Square in Varsity is only a 5 minute walk from the university. Also Library, day care, taverns and loads of restaurants, there is so many things to do and see. Our pride and joy the skill stadium where you can enjoy our NRL team “The Titians” play , also our Robina Hospital is just under going a huge addition and make over where we can accommodate our growing population. Take a leisurely stroll around and see the many parks and play areas for the children, pet run park for your pets to run and play. Looking for a nice place to eat, or maybe helping you find a new hairdresser, if I can help I am only a phone call away to help you fit right on in.

Sit back and relax and enjoy our lovely Robina & Varsity Lakes with all it has to offer.

Hi Cheryl
I tried emailing you directly, but unfortunately it bounced back.
Thanks so much for responding to my question on realestate.com.au regarding what the primary state schools are like in Robina.
Do you have any information regarding which would be the best schools there? I will go private if we need to, but we have our son in a state school in New Zealand at present, and it is really good.
I believe the catchment areas are quite strict there, and schools, especially good ones, can be difficult to get in to – is that correct?
We would be looking at renting a house initially, so important that we get a good area that has really good schooling for our son.
I appreciate any advice you could offer, and will keep you in mind when we come over (if you work with rental housing of course!) We would look to buy at a later date.
Kind Regards
Leanne

"Robina - getting too expensive to rent or buy"

Robina is in the middle of the Gold Coast surrounded by the coastal areas and the Gold Coast Hinterland and is one of the affluent suburbs in this area. Close to the motor way Robina offers a great shopping centre and is the terminus for the Queensland Rail southern line. Robina is also the bus depot for those traveling south to meet up with the NSW rail line at Casino. Robina is a short drive to the beaches or the theme parks further north. There are motels and hotels offering good accommodation. Home prices in the area reflect the amenities available and the new homes in the area.
