"AWFUL RUN DOWN, keep away !"
I visited here looking if it would be an ok place to retire, I never wanted to warp speed out of an area so fast, so many run down houses, looking like a war zone, so unsafe feeling with down and outs walking around the foreshore area , the whole place needs a major developer to re do 90% of the houses in the area, its just claustraphbic , over run with traffic and narrow bad roads, a poor old run down area that may have been good in 1950 but now feels like it needs to completely demolished.
"The Entrance was the best holiday experience I’ve ever had"
I loved fishing out in the lake. At the night the restaurant were rocking with tasty food. I found the other holiday makers to be very friendly. I really did enjoy the accommodation tho cos the hotels were fantastic without been over budget.

"Seaside Town, beautiful water ways"
I live not far from The Entrance, it is a tourist/holiday town by the beautiful Tuggerah Lakes. The memorial park is a great open parkland which has rides and entertainment most weekends, as well as farmers markets on selected weekends. There is also a kids playground and water play area known as "Veras Water Garden". The pelican feeding is at 3:30pm daily. There are some great little restaurants and cafes, my favourite is Bistro Jinja, it is right on the water, and also has takeaway. "Gorgeous seaside suburb- perfect for young families"
We moved here from the Hawkesbury 9 months ago. It feels like you're on holidays all year round. There are excellent parks for families, and they are always clean. Heaps of clubs, pubs and restaurants for eating out. Excellent shopping with Westfield and Erina fair within 20 minutes as well as the variety of markets on most weekends. Although it does attract tourists in Summer, most of the year it is not overly crowded. Best move we have made. Can't wait to purchase a property here.We love being so close to everything.

"Retirement Heaven"
Moved here from Narara in March. Traded in the house for a two bedroom unit with 180 degree ocean and lake views for a VERY reasonable price. We love the waterfront, the shops and cafes, (which offer a locals discount) the beautiful beach of the North Entrance and the general family feel of the place. The regularly scheduled farmers and crafts markets are great and there are usually a couple of special events scheduled each month. There are local markets, medical and social services all with-in walking distance and Aldi, Coles and Woolies are a five minute drive. All in all, we couldn't be happier.
"Beautiful place"

As soon as I get there I feel energety and the vibes of this place are excellent.
I place I recommend to any one.

"Great place to rent and buy"
The Entrance has a shortage of rental properties in the area, although the ones available are still at reasonable prices. Can get a modern two bedroom unit right near the beach for $350-400 per week. Great place to getaway from Sydney and only a short 1 hour+ drive.
2 bedroom apartments varying in size, quality and location are price between $320,000-$420,000 and can find older style apartments in the high 200's for something decent.

"Overly developed tourist town"
Due to its relative proximity to Sydney (slightly over an hour's drive), The Entrance is often a favourite getaway for most Sydney siders. It is great for fishing, prawning and just lounging by the beach. However, it does get overly crowded during the summer months and in turn making it feel like Sydney all over.
The Entrance is also an expensive area. With many businesses, restaurants, hotels, cafes and etc catering for the summer tourists, operators tend to charge tourist prices. The streets are clean and there are many parks available for picnics and barbeques for the family. There are also plenty of houses around the area and many are let out as holiday homes. As compared to Eden in NSW, it is not a tranquil environment but it is definitely great for fishing.
