Please tell me that there are no - or very few - midges and mosquitos!!

Currently sweltering in Queensland and being constantly bitten by midges. Tumbarumba looks like my perfect future home as far as climate and surroundings and house prices go, but it would be great to be somewhere with less humidity and midges than Queensland.
