No, don't believe gentrification or parks or restaurants. It's not safe for your daughter to live there. I wouldn't even have my son live there. I don't care how cheap the rents are. Let them live on campus or right next to campus. Gang violence and drugs rampant. Look at Daily news articles for Washington Heights and Inwood.

That's really far uptown. Typically, the best neighborhoods are between 14 st & 96 st and the West Village.
